About the Show
An evening of original comic and dramatic playlets on the theme of the ‘7 Deadly Sins’. Written by members of our ScriptHub workshop, performed ‘script in hand’ by a professional cast.
Purgatory: and seven individuals assemble after they leave their mortal existences on Earth. As we watch their stories play out, you are invited to decide who should be saved and who condemned – though judge not, lest thee be judged!

Sydenham-based, not-for-profit theatre company Spontaneous Productions launches its exciting Spring Season 2025 with its 14th new writing ‘scratch night’ since 2012. Presenting eight original playlets, each ten minutes long, written by members of its ScriptHub scriptwriting workshops, and performed ‘script in hand’ by a professional cast, expect a wild ride through a range of human flaws and foibles.
Always entertaining, and thought-provoking, our ‘scratch nights’ have become a beloved institution at the Sydenham Centre, and regularly sell out. Advance booking is therefore highly recommended. And don’t forget to arrive early and grab a drink at the Ignition Brewery’s bar downstairs!
