THE MAGNIFICENT DEATH OF HENRY FIELDING

Best-selling novelist Jonathan Coe (“What a Carve Up!”, “The Rotters Club”, “Number 11”) turns his hand to drama, with this highly entertaining exploration of the last few days in the life of the author of Tom Jones.

Featuring Robert Bathurst (from ITV’s ‘Cold Feet’) and Annabelle Dowler (Kirsty in Radio 4’s ‘The Archers’).

It’s the summer of 1754 and the renowned author of Tom Jones is travelling by ship to Portugal in the hope that a warmer climate will cure his terrible afflictions. But with his troubles only just beginning, will he even reach his destination alive?
