Be a Theatre-Giver

Become a TheatreGiver and give the gift of live entertainment

South London’s favourite not-for-profit theatre company Spontaneous Productions is seeking your help! We recognise times have never been tougher, and in this difficult climate we want to do what we can to provide high quality, professional theatre events for those hardest hit by the current crisis.

So how can you help?

Become a TheatreGiver – every donation will provide free tickets for the upcoming theatre shows we are staging this year – including family musical RAPUNZEL running Upstairs at the Sydenham Centre from Sat 17 Sept-Sun 16 Oct (2 performances every Sat & Sun at 3pm & 4.30pm)

TheatreGiving tickets may be purchased when you buy your own tickets online (at £8 each) or simply donate any amount below, to ensure the maximum number of families can benefit.

Working with partner organisations – including our main sponsors Property World, housing associations Lewisham Homes, Phoenix Housing, Hexagon Housing and Lewisham Food Bank – we’ll ensure that the free tickets you buy will go to those hardest hit by the current cost of living crisis. We’re particularly keen to bring new audiences to our shows, especially those who have never seen a professional theatre show before.

So help us keep making the magic our audiences have come to love – and give the gift of theatre today!

How does it work?

Typically, Spontaneous will be producing 5-6 original family theatre shows a year – up to 4 shows at the Sydenham Centre, each running for 4 weekends – plus an outdoor theatre show in a local park (running for 1 week) and a Christmas panto at St Barts Church (over 2 or 3 weekends), plus assorted ‘scratch nights’ and short run dramas/comedies for an adult audience.

For each of these shows we will be offering a number of tickets for sale to our theatregivers – community members wanting to support our work and provide free entertainment to those who would otherwise struggle to afford them.

Our partner organisations will then distribute these tickets to families and individuals on low or no incomes. With a unique coupon code, recipients will able to book tickets for the shows they want to see via our website.

As a theatregiver you will get to know that your donation has gone to a good cause – we will provide feedback from those who benefit from your giving, so you know how much they have enjoyed the opportunity.

How to become a theatregiver

Make a donation today (below, via Paypal) or wait until tickets go on sale for our next theatres show: there will be an option to purchase free tickets alongside the usual ticket booking option. All donations will provide free tickets for those most in need.
