ScriptHub Intermediate
20 fortnightly sessions for intermediate-level scriptwriters.
The workshops will be led by Jonathan Kaufman, the creative director of Spontaneous Productions and an experienced adult education tutor, trained actor, playwright, theatre producer and director.
The course continues the work covered in the first year of ScriptHub, providing a supportive forum for scriptwriters who have either completed the previous course, or are suitably advanced. Jonathan will provide additional input during the sessions, looking at adaptation and writing about historical figures/incidents among other items. This Autumn term 2024 we shall be focusing on upcoming writing projects about the 7 Deadly Sins and Antarctic explorer and former Sydenham resident Ernest Shackleton. As always, we are planning future ‘Scratch Nights’, which provide writers with the opportunity to see their work performed on stage by professional theatre company Spontaneous Productions.
Times: 7.30-9.30pm every other Wednesday evening, all dates TBC (but likely resuming Wed 18 Sept 2024)
