About the Show
Meet the Three Billy Goats Gruff – Big Billy, the big-brained bossy one, Little Kid, the youngest and most nervous one, and Inbetweeny, who likes to take it easy in the middle!
When the changing climate makes their grass dry out, these brave Goats must cross an old wooden Bridge to reach the fresh green grass on the other side. But perhaps the grumpy Troll who lives under the Bridge has other ideas?
Our 31st original family theatre show since 2017 – and our 9th outdoor show – is a brand new musical adaptation of the beloved fairy tale. Staged outdoors in Home Park, lower Sydenham, just behind Sydenham Library this fun-packed show will entertain all ages, with catchy original songs, brilliant dance routines and comic business galore, plus a very mischievous puppet Troll!
Exploring themes of loneliness, friendship and Climate Change and featuring a cast of familiar faces – and voices – this promises to be one of our most original shows yet! Athanasie Munyaneza – last seen as The Little Mermaid herself – is Big Billy, Marlon-Oliver Harris – one of our most regular performers – is Inbetweeny, and newcomer Erin O’Flaherty is Little Kid. And don’t miss Spontaneous legend Hjalmar Nordén as the Voice of the Troll!

TODAY’S SHOW (Tues 27/05) CANCELLED DUE TO HEAVY RAIN. SEE DETAILS BELOW
Apologies for the short notice but both the 2pm & 3.30pm showing today have been CANCELLED.
With heavy rain forecast from 1pm onwards, we’ve taken the difficult decision to not go ahead as scheduled.
Please note ticket holders can attend ANY of the remaining 8 performances – from Thu 29 May to Sun 1 June. There’s not need to rebook or let us know when you’d like to attend instead, just turn up and we will have a list of today’s tickets holders.
If you cannot attend any of the remaining performances, please email producer Jonathan Kaufman jonathan@sptheatre.co.uk to ask for a credit note (our preferred option) or refund.
We fully intend to go ahead with all remaining performances, but please check here or on social media for updates.
NB There are plenty of tickets available on the door at all performances, and also on the door, from 30mins before the advertised performance start time.
As we state below, we highly recommend bringing waterproof blankets to sit on, if the grass is damp, and umbrellas/parasols as there is little or no shelter/shade in the venue.
Please note this is an outdoor performance, so please bring appropriate clothing, umbrellas or parasols (there is no shade at the venue) and waterproof blankets to sit on. As the show is staged ‘promenade’ style be prepared to move once during the course of the performance, so please avoid bringing large picnic spreads. We can provide a few chairs for those who need them.
