Can you do better than this?
Alongside our free street theatre show Sydenham’s Big Cat Safari (7-9 August) we’re running a very special photography competition – open to all – to capture the very best wildlife photo in Sydenham.
With three age categories (see below) and prizes courtesy of Kirkdale Bookshop for the winners, we are now accepting entries by email safariphotos@spontaneousproductions.co.uk
Age categories: Under 11s, 11-18s, over 18s
Deadline for entries 11.59pm on Sunday 10 August 2026.
We are particularly interested in photos taken during the Safari shows – but will accept any recent photographs of wildlife taken in the Sydenham area (no domestic animals or pets please!)
Rules:
This competition is open to anyone, with three age categories for entries:
- Under 11s, 11-18, 18+ (as of Sun 10 August 2026)
- We can accept any format of still image or photograph (excluding videos sorry) – please include name and age bracket of photographer
- Only 1 entry per person please (if submitted by families please label images with photographer name)
- Images must be taken in Sydenham and show wildlife in situ – no domestic animals or pets please!
- Deadline for entries 11.59pm on Sunday 10 August 2026
- Competition winners will be informed by Friday 14 August
- The judges’ decisions will be final
