Sydenham’s Big Cat Safari – A Wild Walkabout Adventure!
A free 30-minute family street theatre show
Are you brave enough to join the hunt for South London’s most mysterious feline?
Since 2005 rumours have swirled of a black panther prowling the streets of Sydenham— sighted near the Sainsbury’s, tracked past the station, and (possibly) shopping incognito at Kirkdale Bookshop. Enter legendary Swedish cryptozoologist Bjorn Bjornsson (played by newcomer KAJAO SATORI) and his eccentric team: the mystical Zoe Moon (RAMIAH SMITH) and the suspiciously well-informed local birdwatcher, Lady Elspeth (Spontaneous regular KATE BARRY). What begins as a harmless Safari soon becomes a madcap mission full of adventure, daft clues, audience participation, and increasingly odd cat-based revelations…
Packed with laughs, surprises, and more feline philosophy than you can shake a stick at, Sydenham’s Big Cat Safari is a purr-fectly bonkers outdoor romp for all ages.

Walkabout street theatre – Fri 7, Sat 8 & Sun 9 August 2026 – 30 min shows at 2pm, 3pm & 4pm Performances start on the hour and will lead the audience for a walking tour of the back streets of Sydenham.
Location: Safari starts just outside the Greyhound Pub, 313-315 Kirkdale, London SE26 4QB. Suitable for all ages.
Tickets: FREE EVENT, no booking required.
