About the Show
When the townspeople of Sydenhamelin find their homes overrun with ravenous rats scavenging for food, it’s up to the town’s mayor – incompetent Burgermeister Hans – and his selfish wife Frau Liesl, to find a solution. But their plans to hire a magical piper to lead the rats out of the town backfire when they refuse to pay him…with calamitous results!
With a fabulous cast of Spontaneous regulars in the principal roles and featuring some well-known songs, comic chases, and magical surprises, this one is not to be missed!
FREE EVENT – donations welcome (both cash and card). There’s no need to book – just turn up 30 mins before the advertised show time – we can seat up to 499 people! As we expect big crowds, please arrive early to ensure we can seat everyone as quickly as possible. Thank you!
Please note this is an outdoor performance, so please bring appropriate clothing, umbrellas or parasols (there is no shade at the venue) and waterproof blankets to sit on. We can provide a few chairs for those who need them. Suitable for all ages.

Rehearsals will take place on Friday 29 May – between 12 noon-4pm – in Home Park, behind Sydenham Library.
