About the Show
Showcasing 12 emerging playwrights from SE London, across two evenings.
SE London-based Spontaneous Productions is delighted to present IRL, the first showcase of new work from emerging playwrights taking part in Make a Scene, our Arts Council England-funded writers’ programme.
Across two evenings, a professional cast will bring 12 original scripts to life in dynamic script-in-hand performances, offering audiences a first glimpse of exciting new theatrical voices. A second showcase, featuring longer works by selected writers, will follow this autumn.
Funny, provocative, surprising and thought-provoking, IRL explores life in the 21st century through a rich mix of styles, stories and perspectives. From sharp comedy to compelling drama, these fresh new scripts capture the complexities, contradictions and connections of the world we live in. Join us for two entertaining evenings celebrating the next generation of playwrights.
